Here goes my best shot!!

Hey everyone! I'm Kristin...I'm 26 and married and live in the midwestern U.S. I decided to make a serious attempt at weight loss this past week since I stepped on the scale and saw the highest weight I've ever been. My stats are currently at 5'3" and 160 lbs, so that comes out to a BMI between 28 and 29 (30 is considered obese). I used to be very active and could eat whatever I wanted and not gain a pound, but now that I'm no longer getting that daily exercise I've gone from a size 2 to a size 12 in the span of about 3 years.
I'm a vegetarian, so I've begun transitioning to a vegan diet for weight maintenance. For exercise I'm going to set a goal of walking on a treadmill 4 times a week, and then I'll probably add more later.

If you are a vegan or vegetarian who is trying to lose weight, please message me! I'd love to trade methods!

I eat a mostly vegetarian diet - and actually I have very little dairy, my protein is mostly from legumes like beans, lentils and chickpeas, and from fish. Happy to trade recipes some time if you like! The most important thing is to make sure you're eating a balanced diet and getting enough protein to feed your muscles and keep you full!
