Help!

Hi guys, I'm new.
I'm an 18 year old girl and I really am wanting to lose some stomach fat before going off to college. I know that my abdomen muscles are strong, so that's not the problem. The problem I'm facing is how to lose the fat that is covering up my abdomen. I know I need to eat better, exercise, and count calories, but I need more specifics. I do have P90X that I am trying to put into my daily routine to start working out. I just need some more suggestions on diet and other exercises I could do. Thanks guys!
