can any one give me advice on how to lose 250 pounds fast?

yeah.. buy a PS3...

but if u want to lose 250 pounds in terms of weight.. may be going too fast is not a very good idea... for starters it wud be really unhealthy, and even if u manage to lose some weight in short time, u'd probably gain it back.. crash dieting is never good.. :)

the best way to lose weight would be to bring positive lifestyle changes while
slowly adding exercises to your routine.. the changes in ur food habit might be as simple as cutting down on that second serving of pizza.. and exercises can start off as simple as a ten minute walk everyday... :) that way u can ease ur body into the weight loss, instead of forcing urself into something only for a short period of time.. these are very generic info.. to learn in details please read the stickies,.. they have a lot of info on how to lose weight.. and then u can always ask questions here:)

and don't get me wrong.. i am not trying to discourage u.. i think it shows a great attitude that u have decided to be a part of this community.. all u need now is dedication and u'll soon start losing the weight.. and u dnt need to lose the 250 pounds in a hurry.. lose some for starters and u'll look and feel wayy better and that would motivate u further to lose the rest..

The worst thing you can do when trying to lose weight is be unrealistic. if you set yourself up with a huge unlikely goal, all your going to do is dissapoint yourself and probably give up completely. besides it's not about finding the perfect miracle to reaching your magic number, it's about making a change for life. otherwise your looking at at a life time of bouncing back if you lose the weight at all. i suggest reading through some of the excellent information found throughout the forum. Okay, miracle is my opinion...

I needed a strict program and i have found it.. As a mother of 4 who is terribly over weight this program offers me a low cost simple, fresh solution.. I say low cost compared to other programs like jenny craig, lite and easy etc..

You are all right, we need a lifestyle change... There is no quick fix solution, there is more involved in becoming a slim and healthy person. It is much more then changing eating habits its an emotional and physical journey too.. We must over come many hurdles and change stratagies and our behaviour.. It s a change on many levels.. Yes baby steps are the best and realistic goals...

I am sincerely sorry to have offended or ruffled any feathers i was just inviting eperkins to come and have a look around..

I am relativley new to posting in this forum and i have no idea what you are referring to in your posting steve..But i do know many of the old members no longer post here, they have moved to a cohens only forum...
I have never been rude to any non-cohenite on the forum.. I was just having a look around when i came across this post... Asking for help...

depends on what you think fast is. It's not going to happen over night but you can see considerable results quickly when you are ready. You have to commit if you have that much weight to lose, it's not a "diet" to lose 5lbs it's a total life change you will have to make. How fast it will come off will vary, most places say 1-2 lbs a week is healthy, but when you have more to lose it may be much more a week. Cutting out all the junk food & fast food I would eat when I wasn't hungry, drinking only water, and lots of cardio has helped me drop 85lbs in less than 5 months. Setting mini goals also can help you get there...If instead of looking @ I have 250 to lose you say I have 20 lbs left till my first goal, it will make things easier for you. best of luck to you!
