Hi Everyone,

I just signed up for this forum cuz I just can't take it anymore! No seriously, food is controlling my life, and not matter what I try to do, the weight just won't go away. Has anyone else ever felt this way? I gave up on fad diets, atkins, low card etc. But no matter what I do, I just can be consistent with eating a balance diet and espescially exercise. Somebody please relate, I am evening considering medication at this point....suicide too.

Oh hon, I've definitely felt out of control before. You are not alone. It is hard, but this board is full of people who have gone through it and are going through it right now. If you need to talk to some (live) please call 1-800-SUICIDE. I'm worried about you.

There are many people here who know how hard it is to struggle with weight. It seems the entire world is conspiring to make us fat, yet expecting us to be thin. From a technical aspect, eat less and exercise more, sounds simple right? Well, that's a hell of a lot easier said than done.

First of all, get to a therapist. NOW. There are many out there who specialize in things of this nature. Weight gain contributes to depression, and depression contributes to weight gain - it's a vicious cycle (been there done that) that you must break.

Once you get started down that road, you will be in a better place to begin fixing the physical things with exercise and healthy eating.

It won't be easy, but it can be done.

Heya's Scooter,
We all have or had felt the way you do.Please
don't think suicide that won't solve anything just hurt the
ones you love.Medication sometimes help's people who are
seriously overweight but it can be done without.
I have lost 60 lbs without medication or surgery and I would
be the last person you would think to lose weight.I have been
overweight my whole life and in the 250's for the last 8-10 years!
I have been struggling and believe it or not when I found this
website I was on cloud 9 everyone is so supportive and does
not critisize when you have a slip up.
Just read some diaries look at the food plans that are out there before you
deside.I like lowcalorie dieting because it doesn't eliminate any of the food
groups and you can have pretty much anything just in a healthier way.
Well I hope you have a good night,Tammy
