Help with sprinting

Hi all!

I'm currently playing lacrosse, and I need to work on my sprinting. I've never been good at it, I'm actually very bad at sprinting. Other than just sprinting more often, what are some other ways I could improve sprinting? Also, are there any techniques to sprinting that I should know about that could increase my speed? Thank you!

Two things make you faster. Stride length and Stride frequency.
Here is my advice. Find a track coach and have him teach you some sprint drills. Build strength in your Core and Legs. (dead lifts, squats, power cleans, etc). Find a hill and hit it twice a week like a mad man and sprint. You can do sprint drills everyday if you choose. (Remember to warm up well as you get stronger and faster...active stretching...and stretch well after you finish...static is good after you do your workout) Eventually you will want to get with a track coach and have him or her help you with your technique...very very important.
