Help with current Weight-Loss program.....

Hi everyone. To start off I'd like to share my progress so far. In December of 2005 I weighed in at 270. I'm 22 and 5'11". In December 2005 I decided to start losing weight. So I started going to the gym often, I cut soda from my diet, drank nothing but water, and eat more healthy.

Now a year and a month later, January 2007, I weigh in at 235. I figured since I slacked-off so much on my intended "regime" for the past year, if I had been more strict and consistent I would of lost a lot more weight in that period of time.

So for 2007, I want to step it up and be strict to loss more in shorter time.

Just in the past two weeks I stopped going to the gym and started jogging. When I first tried it a year ago, I failed miserably, I was very out of breath after just a very short distance.

Now that I've lost these 35 pounds, I can last longer. I start off by walking a good two blocks, then jog not so fast until I start to lose by breath, thats when I go back to walking. It takes me about a minute or so to catch my breath until I can jog another burst. I do this on/off jogging for about 30 mins. My jogging burst are longer than my walking distances.

I was hopeing to get advice on how to adjust my plan to maximize results. What should I alter? I run at night, around 9-ish, is that too late?

My goal is lose at least 1.5 pounds to 2 pounds per week.:D

That is a good suggestion. One thing i tried to look for in particular but didn't find is how long after eating should I wait to go jogging? I tend to get the munchies at night and eat a snack, but always try to keep it light of course.

Running at night is fine though some find it can bring problems with sleeping so be on the lookout for that.

As far as eating before hand/after...

Just focus on an intense workout, if you need fuel get fuel. If your caloric intake is on point the rest of the stuff doesn't matter as much. I find not to worry to much about these things until you get closer to your goals.
