Help wanted - help me get rid of weird fat pouch above belly button (pics)

Hey guys!

Just so you know - I live in Europe and go by the metric system så please bear with me ;)

My height is 166cm and starting weight was 60kg. I now weigh 57kg. My biggest issue is the fat on my stomach. In the picture below you have me at the same weight both pics but -1cm in the waist in pic no. 2.

My waist is now 68cm, BUT as you can see I have this huge fat pouch right above my waist. From the front you can't tell but from the side it's a very sharp B-shape as you can see. Even though I've lost 11cm around my waist since beginning 5 weeks ago, the shape hasn't really changed at all.

Could someone PLEASE give me some advice how to tackle this?! I work out, however not the abs as I'm afraid to make the shape worse.

The pics are one week apart, you can see a slight change.

There is a change there! Keep working at it, You look great! I would suggest some ab workouts if you want to get rid of fat in the stomach area, good luck!
 
Unfortunately - the fat comes off where it wants to... When I first started my big project I lost lots of weight off one leg and not the other... I spent a while with a fat leg and a much thinner leg... It evened up after a while - but was pretty silly for a while...

Your BMI is only 20.7 - so you really do not want to bring it below 18.5 since you would be classed as underweight at that weight. You really do not want your weight to fall below 51kg since that gives a BMI of 18.5. It is probably well worth checking things with body fat percentage measurements.

I suggest that you continue working out... I would be exercising those ABS too... There are loads of ABS exercise suggestions on our parent site www.fitness.com exercise section... There is a lovely menu driven area where you select the muscle group that you want to work on and it displays loads of exercise suggestions.

On www.fitness.com there are also other forums. You have found us (the weight-loss forum) but there are also forums on bodybuilding, sports and fitness. I am wondering whether the bodybuilding people would be worth asking...

MosesLord - I do not think that your posting is either supportive or helpful to the OP. I am trying to work out your point in posting that here... When you say "get like me" I think that you are hoping that the reader thinks "ok physique!" or similar... I must admit that I thought "rude!"...

Moses, if you are going to spam her thread with your picture, you could at least try to answer her question...

As far as I know, It isn't possible to lose fat on an specific part of the body. Ab exercises would help toning the abdominal muscles.

The exercises that work large muscle groups are the ones that burn the most calories, and therefore, fat. (If you are on a caloric deficit)

You are already skinny, though. Make sure you don't go too low on your weight.

I found MosesLord's 'post' rather arrogant as well....plus, the pictures are hardly anything to write home about. If you want to brag, at least make sure you have something that is worth bragging about.
 
@OP : I guess you have the correct answer already, on the other hand, I don't think it looks ugly or anything bad :p If you hadn't told about that and posted only the picture I'd have seen you as a normal person. ( My point of view tho )

@Moseslord : if you're seeking for that kind of attention, this is not the right place I think.
 
Try increasing Alkaline rich foods. They are great for busting belly fat! Good luck x
