Help on gaining weight

Hello I am not a huge working out person but would consider myself a fairly fit person. I need help with gaining some muscle weight, I am 19 5'10" 145 pounds, i would like to gain about 30 pounds within 12 months if possible. In high school i was pretty small and until about a year ago I have noticed that I have been getting bigger now that I have been working out. It seems like I am not stuck at this weight and wont go up. I have read around and mainly have read that I need to get more calories but not really a specific workout plan that's for me. I have also read that cardio should be taken out but i play basketball and soccer at least 2 times a week each. Thank You
 
I would not take out cardio. I know that this is always recommended for "hard gainers", but I think you have to look at the bigger picture. Cardio fitness is a critical component of HEALTH, which always trumps muscle mass in my book.
 
Same, I wouldn't take out cardio, having a healthier and stronger heart from doing your sports can actually help you hit the weights harder as well since your body is in overall better shape.

And yeah if you want to gain more weight, it really comes down to taking in a lot more calories, and weight training to pack on the muscle.
