Help me...

When you look at me, you would think I am pretty skinny. I only weigh 160 pounds. I am a male that looks skinny in the face, arms, legs etc...
except for one place... my belly.

Everything thinks I am nuts when I tell them I need to go on a diet, but I really do.

I don't want to lose weight every else on my body.

Can someone offer some advice on how to lose belly fat.
I am afraid if I go on a diet, I will lose weight in other places where I don't need to.

Thanks!

I'm not a doctor, or even male, but here's my advice. :) Start a strength training plan with a little bit of cardio thrown in. I would NOT reduce the amount of calories you're eating, but try to focus on healthy foods. No simple carbs. Plenty of protein (you don't have to go crazy, just make sure you're getting more than enough). Good luck!

hey jbragg - welcome.
possibly you might wanna look into the kinds of food you eat also. i'm not sure if someone else already said that, but i read a few articles a while back about bloating and how some foods "attach" themselves around the waist, etc. i'd say look around a bit to see what you can find out and drink lots of water.

If I watch what foods I eat now, would it take it away from my belly or in other places. I am just afraid of getting to skinny and not losing it in my belly

Welcome to the foum!! I'm not skinny or male but here's my 2cents:
Eat well, watch the sugar & the junk food, do some strength training, target your belly area & do some light cardio. Is sounds like you don't necesarily need to lose weight.. just tone up a bit & lose the "beer belly".

Here's a great article on how to flatten the belly:

(yes I know it's a chick magazine..lol - but it's still a great guide to get you started)

Good Luck!! And let us know how it goes. :D:D:D

You can't target fat in one area, but belly fat tends to be pretty quick to go. I agree with everyone above that you should get into strength training. Situps or crunches will firm up the muscles under your belly and make it less wobbly :)
