help me out.

Okay so I took superpump 250 supplement for awhile (1 tub of it) but didn't exactly use it for lifting weights or anything, i used it before swim practice, and waterpolo... after i ran out of superpump i bought no-xplode but i now go to the gym (just started in late january) trying to get a nice set of abs but its like no matter what i do they just keep hiding lol, upper body and arms i have been seeing a difference so thats not worrying me. my diet is pretty healthy besides the now and then things, i work at a smoothie king so i do drink plenty of protein; im just stumped if to just keep doing what im doing or should i take another route... thanks

It's not in the supplements or even the protein. It's in the consistent workout and clean diet. All this other stuff may do a bit here or a bit there, but it's mostly a waste if your diet and workout aren't in check. And not to be a buzzkill, but I question the sugar content of the smoothie king. Gotta watch that stuff.

Stop wasting your money on those supplements. Protein powder and a carb drink for post workout is all you should be taking imo.

You have to eat less calories than you're burning if you want to get more lean. Find out your BMR here:

Then count your calories and eat less than your BMR.

Having said that, i can see your abs just fine and if you lose anymore weight you might fly away..lol.

well the supplements i get for peanuts basically cause i get an employee discount, and as for protein powder the smoothie i get is called the Gladiator its got 45g of protein, no sugar, just the powder, bananas, and strawberries. Now you mentioned a carb drink, would that be like adding carb complex to a drink? and as for the protein shake, when you drink them before you work out don't they kinda make you wanna throw up during your work out? the Gladiator is kinda heavy in the sense that it is considered a meal replacement.

okay so i don't have to lose any weight (thank god i was thinking the same thing wesrman) so i just keep a healthy diet and a consistent work out?

thanks guys for the quick responses :]

Drink the carbs (Gatorade or something similar that has sugar, bananas and strawberries works just fine) and protein shake after your workout. That should help you with the vomiting. :p

Just start doing a good routine and some cardio and you will see improvements.

gotcha, just to clarify (sorry i just wanna see if i understood for sure)
I should be:
1. eating more and healthy. (basically eating alot and healthy, but not worrying about how much i eat?)
2. drinking more protein.
3. drinking carbs
4. Some cardio ( i do cycling and i run like a maniac, i used to do cross country )
5. repeat?

thanks

This all depends on whether or not you want to gain muscle or lose fat. doing both at once is very hard almost impossible to do.

1. eating more and healthy. (basically eating alot and healthy, but not worrying about how much i eat?)

No not unless you want to gain weight fast. Find the amount of calories you're burning per day here:

Then eat 500 calories more than that if you want to gain weight (muscle) and eat 500 calories less if you want to lose weight/fat. Eat 5 or 6 healthy meals per day either way. they dont have to be huge meals, but that means vegetables/fruit, protein, carbs and fiber at each meal. Start out slow with this step. Add one or two meals per day for a couple weeks and then another. You dont want to jump into it too fast.

2. drinking more protein.

EAT more protein (chicken, protein powder, steak, milk etc), drink 1 or 2 protein shakes per day.

3. drinking carbs

After your workout. BUT if you're already drinking a shake with bananas in it post workout you dont need extra carbs.

4. Some cardio ( i do cycling and i run like a maniac, i used to do cross country )

What you're doing is good. Add a weight training routine 3 days per week if you want to add some muscle.

5. repeat?

Rest 2 days per week so your body can recover.

no yeah i dont want to loose weight i want muscle i was just under the impression that i had to loose weight for my abdominals to show. X]

thanks again man for all your help

You have to lower your bofy fat percentage to get them to show. But you wont gain any muscle while tryin to lose fat.

This is true, but there has to be some muscle mass for them to show. No offense, but you are just too damned skinny to have your abs show no matter how much fat you lose. Put on some good muscle mass by lifting right and eating right, and when the time comes, you'll be able to shed bodyfat and show off your abs.

for sure, thank you all for your help and quick responses [: well see how my progress goes in a couple months,

till then!
