help

k. my stomach sticks out a little to the side... uhhh how do i explain this.

sides of my chest go out flat, then my stomach sticks out to the side and back down to my waist.

do i have to build the muscle on the side of my stomach to solve this? do i have to lose weight? im 6'0, 15 years old, 148 lbs.

thanks

I suggest you create an eating plan of decent foods (don't be a nazi about it or it won't last, the food list link is good - I use it too) and participate in daily exercise. If your only goal is to make your stomach muscles show that I suggest a frequent cardio routine. But if you figure out that that is only part of a much bigger picture, say building an upper body, then I would suggest you mix it up with some cardio and lifting.

So what do you want to accomplish long term?

k...

ive got a pretty decent diet... and im definitely physical fit... soccer season just ended (at least 2 miles/day) and im working out for basketball, which starts at the end of the month.
what would be an ideal diet... i live in a normal family, and we usually dont have TOO much food.
i go to highschool, so what would be a good idea for breakfast, lunch, and good foods for dinner that i could talk my mom into... also, what should i avoid?
looking to get my body fat down to a point where i can have a six pack. but i also want to build an upper body...

hope this is enough!

Thanks

i want a 6 pack

Hey My name is chris i go to highschool and i am on the basketball team. The reason why i posted a comment is because i want to know what is da quickest workout and most noticble workout for a 6 pack. I want a 6 pack to show on my body please help :D

ok...

alright...

i got an estimated one on the internet as 18%, which i guess seems right...

im 6'0", 147 lbs, 33 waist

what do i have to do now?

Anton

the idea now is to reduce your bodyfat % while trying to maintain as much strength and lean bodyweight as possible. use the link provided in this thread and work on putting a meal plan in place.

then we have to deal with the whole training deal. :)

I've never been positive about this, but I thought I remembered someone telling me a few years back that six-packs are also a factor of genetics. You can definately develop abs through a proper diet and training, but don't expect Brad Pitts abs, just because you do crunches.

Someone please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

k...

heres what im thinking... feel free to correct me

Breakfast: oatmeal, cereal and skim milk, or nutragrain/granola bar.

Lunch: PB&J, or bagle w/ barely any creamcheese

Dinner: whatever mom puts on the table- alright guys... for this one i need your help... what should i NOT eat for dinner. If ive got the choice what do i ask for, and if there are multiple things and i can choose, what should i NOT eat?

Thanks,
Anton

I'd add some protien to breakfast. Shake or egg whites.

Drink a shake between breakfast and lunch

If those are your only choices, stick with the PB&J... Otherwise, I sometimes have PB and Honey and wheat... :)

Drink shake between lunch and dinner

Dinner... what to ask Mom not to make. Anything fried! Keep it simple. Rice, pototoes (baked or boiled) and chicken breast, fish, lean red meat. But then again, she's the one cooking so you might have to eat whatever she makes. ;)

thanks

thanks.
whats better, shake or bar for protein...

im just thinkin that a protein bar would be a little more convenient

thanks

shakes

bars should only be used when you have no other choices available. they definiately shouldnt be part of a daily diet. most of the time the numbers on the labels are way off and some contain questionable ingredients.

years ago i used one for one of my meals each day and someone told be quite bluntly "that means you're not putting in enough effort in your meal plan"

kinda stung at first but i believe in it now ;)
