Ok, I'm 40lbs over what I use to weigh. I know I was unhealthy before, so I'd like to lose 25lbs. I'm also breastfeeding a 2 month old with no intention on weaning for at least a year.
I tried watching carbs SBD style, but I couldn't get my cals over 1200 which is just not enough to nurse on. I tried watching cals, but I was always hungry on 1700, binged and blew it. According to the thing wonder woman posted, I need 2380 cals to nurse. I also spend way too much time on line when I should be playing with my little ones. But I have no friends here so if I don't talk to people on-line, I talk to no one. Not good when you are a very social person with PPD. I've also noticed I have mood swings related to sugar and bloating related to wheat. If I cut those out, that should take care of most of the junk any way.
So, here are my choices:
#1 - low carb while getting 120 carbs(min. 95-100 reccommend while nursing) and uping the cals Atkins style i.e. bacon, sausage, etc.
#2- watch my cals but try to limit to 2000 and see how that works and go from there
#3- Record a journal and eat normal for a week, then reduce by 300 cals a day
#4- Quit trying to lose weight, get my butt off line and eat how I please, I can focus on weight loss next year. (although I may be pregnant again)
#5- Stay on-line, less frequently and cut out wheat and sugar
