Help! I've been pinged & it shows

Hi, Is it possible to remove a "ping"? A guy came into my diary, saying little of value, & since then, what I assume are his web-sites come up as 'pings'. It is worse than spam as his sites show up every time I 'go advanced'. I would love to have them removed if at all possible. If there is a way for me to prevent it happening again I would appreciate someone telling me how, but in the mean-time would LOVE them to vanish. Please. Cheers, Cate.

i know there is a setting for pings, trackbacks, & refbacks, but I don't see any of them. I'm not sure how to make them show up so I can understand where the problem is
 
I do know that when you look at the linkbacks on your thread, there is a little garbage icon to delete them.

Send Trackbacks to (Separate multiple URLs with spaces): then below that but in that section-

Already pinged:

* one web address
* a 2nd web address

I had already searched for a delete option but cannot see one at all. Where would it be?
 
as a normal user, you may not have that option. i don't see these things linked anywhere in your post, so i'm not sure that it's of much concern, other than a bit annoying when you are typing your post.
 
So anyone can come into my diary, "ping" me & then I will see their web-sites listed every time I post from then on & no-one can get rid of them. Is that right? They can't be removed by anyone, even moderators?
 
I know this is a long shot...is there anyway Sean, you can sign in under Cates name and try to post something....see if that shows you?
 
It hasn't worked but thanks for trying. It is annoying (like spam) but if it's not visible to anyone else it's not so bad. I sure won't ever be tempted to look at his sites as seeing them every time I "go advanced" annoys me. It's a pest that someone can do that. If you can get rid of them it would be great, but if not I'll get over it.
