Help I need advice!

Hello everyone,

I am at the start of a major weightloss challenge. I turn 30 in october and I really want to be slim fit and healthy by then. I am 5foot 5 inches and currently 187lbs I would like to get down to at least 140lbs by my birthday in a little over four months and I am prepared to do whatever it takes to do this. I work part time and have membership to a great gym and I am able to go nearly everyday .
I have posted these pictures to both motivate myself and to let you see what I am dealing with.
any advice people could give me about how to achive this goal in regards to exersize, diet etc would be greatly appreciated!

many thanks,
betty
P.S. I am a strict vegetarian but I do have a big tendency to binge on sweet things which is a habit I'd love to beat.

Well looking at your picture, it is very possible to achieve what you want by October. However, it's going to be a very long and hard journey.

For diet, I really can't say since I'm pretty new to it too. However, candy and sweet stuff got to go.

To obtain weight lost, do the following:
1) Find your BMR. Consume less than that everyday by at least 300-400. Don't starve yourself.
2) Begin a strict diet. Remove any candy, or other sweet things you like.
3) Exercise 5 times a week. 5 days, do cardio, maintain your heart rate, and do it for at least 20-30 minutes.
4) For at least 3 times a week, do strength training. Weights, etc. Do strength before cardio. After strength, do cardio for at least 20-30 minutes.
5) Do HITT at least once or twice a week after strength training.
6) Drink only Water, nothing else. Power drinks and that stuff is very bad.

Well that's all the tip I have. I want weight lost too, but I'm not on such a strict goal as yours. Good luck.

Hi Dallen,

Thanks so much for your post, that is great advice and definitely useful as a framework to build a program around.
Thanks for saying that you think that this might be possible also. I feel a very long way off from where I need to be with my body but if I am truly able to believe that this is possible then it becomes a lot easier to stick with it.

Many thanks again for your advice and best wishes for your own weightloss goals.

Betty
