I got my black belt in Tae Kwon Do from Master Cho when I was 10, looking back on it I really don't think I deserved it, especially watching ultimate fighter. I don't really remember those days, but I can assume that my form was sloppy and loose. When I was 14 my dad enrolled me in a summer tae kwon do class through his new master, Master Hong, being a little older now I came to really appreciate everything my master has taught me. I stuck with it until I graduated high school, only really going up to 1st degree with an extra star. I worked my ass off after I re-enrolled, it was great days. A demanding girlfriend and 40+ hour work week made it hard to keep up with everything. Now I'm in college (a 2 year lapse from high school to college, but never the less), I've wanted to get back in the swing of things, I am going to be taking a Karate class and plan to take more class once I'm able. I want to walk into the class and be at least a step ahead of everyone plus I think they have sparring every other saturday (I love sparring, none of the points **** either, just go till you can't go anymore) but from where I use to be until now, I think i've lost ground. I've leaned out and gained muscle mass, but I feel slower and weaker.
I try to run 3-4 miles every other day, go a couple rounds on the bag the days I don't run, I try to do sit-ups everyday and the same for push-ups. I do pull-ups when I can, its hard not being able to do them on anything round like a bar (i use a tree that has a branch that isn't exactly straight). I can run a 6 min. mile. I have trouble keeping my focus for long periods of time, I love competition and there is no one to compete agaisnt, so I lose ambition.
Sorry about all of the back story, but can someone either help me gain focus and keep me going and/or give me a workout regime that will amp me up. (I want to try to stay away from a workout with weights because I don't have access to a gym and don't have any money).
THANKS!!
