Sport Help A Lazy College Student Shop Healthy..

Ok I've started working out and doing cardio and trying to watch what I eat...but when i go to Kroger I donno what to buy or how much of it....can anyone tell me what kind of stuff to shop for? Im like 220 lbs and 5'11 and my goal is to lose fat and gain a moderate amount of muscle I guess....might be a broad goal but need to get started somewhere...I heard protein and carbs..but i donno what foods are proteins and what are carbs...I saw the list in the other section but I need to know how much of each

yeah and if you can buy in bulk. you'll end up using it all anyway if you stick to the diet. LVs list is pretty kickass.
 
yea i read LV's list...its awesome your right...I was hoping for more specific stuff...i meant if anyone would like to share specific examples of what they buy and stuff
 
no nevermind...turns out I was looking at something else...we were talking about something totally different....but yea I read all the stickies...great stuff...thanks for taking the time to respond guys
 
Berardi's law is a big part of sticking to your diet as well:

If a food is in your possession or located in your residence, you'll eventually eat it.

Important for a college student to remember.
 
haha yeah those six packs are really a bad name for something that surely will keep u from getting a six pack...but I think I'll be fine....I allow my self to have a cheat day...which is sunday....where theres nothing to do but watch football and destroy a whole weeks worth of working out lol
 
well yeah before I used to do that....i think that was my problem...but now even on "cheat" days i wont touch the beer on sunday...maybe a slice of pizza...thats bout as much as I cheat now
