Hello everyone! I am new to the forums signed up today.
So.. Why I want to lose weight.
My BMI is still in the healthy region but I want to feel better about myself. My goal is to lose most of my belly till next summer and build arm and leg muscle.
Can I post here every week about what I did? I feel that would motivate me a lot. I am a big procrastinator .
Does anyone want to post their exercises that they do every week here? Or I could look at your thread? We can motivate each other :)
Good Luck to everyone!!!

Hi and welcome,

Its good your already at a healthy weight and toning and getting fit is a great goal.
You can find my weight loss plan in the new mums section. I can't start till after the birth.
Also you can make a diary thread in the diary section, this is where people keep updates on their progress and people reply.

Welcome to the forum.

It is great that you have joined us and I can see that you are getting into the swing of posting here... I'm a bit late with welcoming people in the newcomer section as I have been busy over the last couple of weeks... That's what happens when you have your wedding anniversary and birthday in rapid succession...:svengo:

All that I can say is that it is very natural to want to improve our shape and having a BMI of a healthy range does not negate that.

You mention building arm and leg muscles - but also that your belly concerns you... Maybe you want to be improving a fuller range of muscles including core... A lot of people get their weight to the healthy range and are not happy with their physique... If you google terms like "skinny fat" you will see a load of stuff about it... All it really means is a lack of strength training (or lack of it in specific areas) results in people not being as toned as they would like... Cardio burns calories but doesnt improve toning... I personally find weight training to be boring - but there are other things like pilates and mat exercises which some people find more appealing...

I suggest that you read the following thread - it may help you settle in and make friends

Good luck with your project.
