I waited a bit longer than I expected to do an introduction, but better late than never I guess.

HELLO THERE!!!!
I'm new and joined this site as hopefully a way to help keep me on track, or at least have some type of either support or just something to get new ideas from. I'm 23 and currently a little over 200 lbs. At my heaviest I was about 308 lbs. I managed to get down to 190 lbs in one year, but then I worked for 2 years at a job where all I did was sit down and assemble small parts, so regretfully I gained back 60 lbs and have since been trying to get back down to under 200 lbs. I've been trying to find different ways to hopefully keep off the weight for good, but I know very little about dieting or nutrition in general, so it's a bit difficult to get under 200 lbs without working out for 2 hours a day at least 5 days a week. Hopefully I'll be able to go to the gym more, but due to current living situations it is almost impossible to get to a gym, so I've been trying to do workouts at home, but I like to procrastinate.

Hi and welcome.

You've come to the right place, there's a subsection on the forum for nutricion and diet, so you can learn and ask all you want to know there.
I gather from your story that you lost the 190 lbs by working out in the gym a lot?

I've been doing work outs at home as well for the 3 years, so I know that it can be hard to get yourself to start your workout.
Once started I always find it makes me feel better, even if it's specifically harder than usual (you know those days when you're really lethargic). Nothing like looking in the mirror after a workout and see yourself dripping in sweat and saying to your reflection: "Good job, you killed it today!"

So: procrastination will get you nowhere ;) Get up and work out!

Welcome to the forum.

You did really well on your last project and will do well again this time round.

Its a shame that you regained a bit of weight which you have to address again. I did the same - after maintaining my goal for a few years - I am currently about 28 pounds up from there...

Thankfully - despite our recent gains - we are both still a lot lower than our maximum ever weight - so things should be a lot easier this time round.

What we have done before we can do again...

As Guideon mentioned - we have sections on nutrition. It is very well worth reading the sticky threads... There should be information there to help you to deduce a healthy calorie level and understand how to set targets for all your different macros so that your food plan is really healthy.

I suggest that you read the following thread - it may help you settle in and make friends

Good luck with your project.
