I am new to the site but as most of us not new to dieting and weight loss. I have been trying to lose the same 100lbs for 15 years. I have tried fad diets, liquid diets, weight watchers, and protein diets. I am now working with a trainer but didn't get results in about 4 weeks so I lost all motivation. I don't know which way to turn. I count calories using FitnessPal and I was exercising but have lost all my desire to workout. I have some health issues, asthma and PVC's, that make it a challenge. I also just plain hate exercising. I want some help. I want a magic pill but I know it doesn't exist. I just don't know what I am doing wrong when I do exercise and count calories. I am having 1300 calories a day and was rotating with aerobic exercise (walking or using the elliptical) and then doing body weight exercises the off days. When I get discouraged I tend to stray from a good diet. If I didn't I wouldn't be on here. I just need support and ideas of what I can do that will help me exercise and anything anyone else can offer. Thanks!

hi!! welcome to the forum!! everyone here is so helpful! you'll make friends and get the support you need :)

Are you sure you are only consuming 1300 calories a day? You will lose weight if you are a deficit. Are you breaking all the foods you eat down? Are you including sauces, drinks, snacks, alcohol? Are you going out on the weekends and to restaurants?

If you haven't lost any weight or maintaining your weight you are either at a caloric surplus or maintenance.

Recheck your caloric intake.

AHi. Your weightloss journey is similar to my own experience. I also had a personal trainer and lost no weight but I did increase my fitness! It would be really useful if you calculate your bmr which is the amount of cals your body uses daily get several readings from google/apps Internet or doctor. From this work out 500 less cals a day by way of exercise or food intake this will get you a one lb weekly weightloss. Adjust food intake and exercise accordingly to suit you.

Using the food and exercise trackers will really help and as you already use these thats one less thing to do!

If you get demotivated seek me out on here and I will give you motivation and encouragement. We all need it in spades. Good luck you can do it??
