What works for one person may or may not work for another person but it is always good to know what works for others.
What part of Germany do you live at? I used to travel to Germany.
 
For me, I use a calorie and fitness tracker and workout five times a week and walk/run daily. I have found counting and tracking keep me focused. If I see I haven't burned the daily required amount of calories, I know I need to do some more burning that day. I live in Baden-Wurttemburg. It's lovely :)
