I look forward to meeting you all!

I'm a PCOS lady too.

I hope that your weight control project is still going well. What did you decide to do in particular this time round? A lot of PCOS ladies find it a good idea to watch those starchy carbs. I lost my weight being very careful with those...

Hello! pleasure to meet you! YES def cutting carbs on pcos diet, I've been trying to refine my diet to help balance my hormones and curb insulin resistance so far so good, I've edited my diet about 20 times in the past several years lol.. now i'm working on alkalizing it and trying to eat more clean unprocessed foods.. My issue is with pcos I have an apple body type, it's changed over time more rulerish.. but i'd like to be more pear or hourglass shaped

I think that a lot of PCOS ladies head towards an apple shape... I got to goal - but have gained some weight in the past two very stressful years... The funny thing is that all the weight that I have just gained has gone to my tummy... Thankfully the weight is coming off again this year - but I have to say that it is funny that it went to my tummy...

Welcome :) I just joined last week and this forum is great as far as picking up tips and getting support from other members. I started a weight loss diary and joined a challenge. Those are two great ways to get involved with this forum and receive feedback from other members. Good luck!

Hi Belinda! lovely name thanks for the warm welcome

Omega - when we are stressed weight often unfornately goes to the waist area

lol I just want my butt to get bigger

Welcome! I am new as well. I was diagnosed with PCOS at a very young age and have dealt with some of the horrid side affects as well, including my issues with weight. Good luck and hopefully we can chit chat more!

One thing that is worth mentioning to PCOS ladies is that if you ever get the unwanted hair symptom it is worth getting it lasered while you are still young... No-one ever tells you that lasering works great if your hair is dark - but it is pretty useless on white or grey hair... I used electrolysis when I was young and didnt try lasering until I was in my 40s... I guess that I was a bit scared in case it hurt... Anyway - by the time I tried it - I had too many grey hairs for it to be worth doing...

Going with that, I have an iLight and wish I'd read the fine print on the box. It's pretty much useless to me because I have white- to medium blonde hair. It's not dark enough for the iLight to work. And I'm glad to pick up that tidbit that it's the same for actual lasering.
