Hello everyone!

I have just joined the forum, and finished posting my first entry to my weight loss diary.

I am hoping that by making a public diary online, it will motivate me to keep an eye on what I'm eating because I will have to post it later that day.

I am a 19 year old freshman in college, and my initial goal was to be thin by the time I started my semester. That didn't happen over the summer, so I then changed the goal to be thin by the time winter break started, to surprise my family. Well, winter break is in one month, and I don't think... or expect to be at my goal in one month. So now I need to look at the big picture and just do it. Hopefully it works. :)

Logging what you eat is great, but it's important to be really honest with yourself and put EVERYTHING in there, even if it's just a small cookie or something, because it all adds up! The diary can act as a great tool to keep you accountable to yourself, good luck!
 
Yea, I'm torn about putting deadlines like that on my goals. I'm more inclined to focus on the process rather than the big picture. I know that if the process is in place, the body will follow. It's much more liberating and doesn't place as much pressure on you.

Sounds like you've come to find this out through trial and error.
