Hi! I have been working on losing weight and just found this forum...I started at being 5'6'' and 200 lbs...my highest weight. I promised myself I would never get that heavy, and then there I was. So I had been *kind of* trying to eat healthier and got down to about 191.

But then I decided to stop screwing around and got serious. So I started a very strict diet. So my ticker, which I will be adding soon, starts at 191 because that is when I really got serious about losing weight. My first goal weight is 170...right now I am down to 183! I am feeling pretty encouraged actually. Somehow I have lost 8 pounds in a week. But I'm young (20) so I guess that happens.

Anyway, my sister is getting married on October 4, and I want to try and lose ~10 pounds a month until then. I guess I'm off to a good start--I lost almost as much as I was going to try for in a month in a week! But it is the very beginning of my diet and from my understanding it falls off quick at first and then I might hit a "plateau".

Currently I have been eating about 1000 calories a day (1500 before working out, but I work off 500 of it).

Anyway, sorry for the long introduction! I am very encouraged by looking at pictures and reading about all of your weight losses! It's so inspiring!

Welcome to the WLF! I am a new member and I joined in Feb 2008.

I too have a goal set for Oct 4/08 ---- a high school reunion.

Currently, I am 177lb

Age 38
Stay at home mom.

I have been exercising a lot, but I couldn't tell you my calorie intact as I do not keep track. I know, I should keep a journal, but I am too lazy!:ack2:
I am hoping to lose another 45lb so that is about 10lbs a month as well.

Good luck with your weight loss adventures, you will reach your goal. Especially if you start a diary and visit often, for support.
