Hey everyone, I just wanted to introduce myself! My name is Tawny and I'm a stay at home mother of 2 boys, a 20 month old and an 8 week old. I'm not having anymore children and so its time to claim my body back. I never cared so much about what the scale said, but more about how I felt. I used to be a jogger (I was never skinny, and could never run fast, but leisurely jogging was something I enjoyed) and I'd love to get back into that. I'm actually starting once I get my MP3 player (gotta have some tunes to listen to). I just joined here b/c I'd love some motivation and support to help me get up and do it every day. Its hard sometimes with two children, but its something I want and need to do for myself.

Welcome Tawny. My nieces all have young children and enjoy jogging so they invested in those good strollers that you can put the kids in and take them along on the run.. Maybe you could invest in one of those since you enjoy jogging.

I was going to suggest a stroller as well, although I'm not brave enough for a jogger. :) My 2 boys are about 20 months apart (right now they're 11 months & 2.5 years), and I bought a double stroller to go walking with them, which we all enjoy.

I still have a hard time "finding" time in my day to walk some days, but I always feel so much better when I do. And I know EXACTLY what you mean about needing time for yourself when you stay at home with your kids. I love being home with my boys, but some days I could run from the house screaming, lol.
