Hi guys im here to lose some weight for this summer. Hopefully by the end of the summer i will of lost 30 pounds.

I am 16, weighing 181 pounds, male.

I've been working out everyday at the gym after school for the passed 4 months. My weight hasn't changed by much but I have built alot of muscle, meaning that i must of lost weight. I haven't been in the last week or so due to the fact that I can't afford the membership ($50/mo). I live in a unhealthy family so it is hard for me to keep off the weight because they buy all the junk. My girlfriend says i am not fat and i disagree. The reason I am trying to lose weight is not because of my girlfriend but beause I want to live healthier and I want to prove to my friends that I can lose weight, being a guy all my friends always say as a joke "hey fatty" and I want to lose that reputation.

I have alot of friends, and everyone enjoys being around me because im comical (Like most fat people, i believe this is true) and my personality is great. I was lucky to find my girlfriend and she is thankfully not shallow but I know inside she wouldnt mind if I lost a few pounds because she looks great and I dont.

So what I am planning to do is try to get that gym membership back and start exercising again. When I went to the gym I just lifted weights. I went from benching 65 pounds to 135 pounds in just 3-4 months of going to the gym for a hour. I would think that is pretty good, So I must of lost some weight I am not sure though. I do not know how to calculate fat %.

Anyways here is my plan:
- Eat less, Instead of eating until im 100% full, Im pllanning to eat to 75% full.
- Eat Healthier, No more snacks, No more chips, No more fast food.
- Morning exercise: 30-50 pushups, 75-100 situps, 10 pullups, and 30-hour jog.
- After school: Play sports with friends.

Some things I've had problems with:
- Living with a divorced family its hard to exercise at my dads because it is not a kids neighboorhood and nothing to do. But this summer my dad is moving into a new house with a basketball net/swimming pool. Which would help alot!
- Computer, I'm addicted to myspace, msn, and web design. Need to slow down.
- Laziness. While being in school I do nothing. I just talk, I dont know if this is just lazy and is a problem or not but I try to think of reasons not to go to school.
- Don't want to tell my parents im trying to lose weight. I need help with this one, I dont want them to think im depressed or something because Im such a happy person, seriously this would probally be the hardest part.

Could work, and lose 30 pounds in 3 months!
 
Oh and I must add:

I quit smoking cigarettes about a month ago. That was extremely hard especially since my girlfriend smokes.

I have to admit to this even if it is bad, I smoke weed often. I am trying to quit that.

I have recently slowed down drinking (Used to drink every friday/saturday) now i havent had a drink of alcohol in about a month! (Except a few beers last saturday).

I don't own a scale :(

you sound a lot like me. you have a wounderful girlfriend that will support you and that is good. i also quit smoking about a month ago. and my family eat junk food everyday and it is always in the house. so that is what is hard for me to deal with because sweet are my down fall. and i do not have the support of someone that loves me and will stand by and say that you do not need the sugar and you are doing good. i am proud of you and you will reach you goal by the end of the summer. :jump: lora jean

hi how long have you been on this program? and yes i am wanting to lose weight but like i said that is really hard because of my family and that i am a night owl. i am up most of the night. but will be will to do anything to lose the weight. thanks for the reply lp:)

I'm just starting this also. I am pretty much the same as you.

Calorie intake (Not sure didn't follow)
Training: Yes
Basketball: No, it was raining but i was biking around after.
