Hi there,

I thought I would stop by and introduce myself.

My name's Lyn. I'm a married Mum of 2 boys and a 5 month old daughter. As if that isn't quite enough to keep me busy I run my own business with my husband.

I have a life long interest in weight loss because until recent years it's been a life long problem. I went on my first diet in my teens and continued dieting until I reached about 30.

As for diets, what didn't I try? I made my own diets up, did weight watchers, half heartedly tried slimming world and then did really stupid things like not eating for a whole week (and yes, I didn't learn the first time so I actually did this twice).

There have been times in my life when I've been thoroughly obsessed.

I can honestly say I haven't got a clue how much I weigh - I threw out the scales. I know I used to weigh just under 16 stone at my heaviest and now I wear size 14 clothes :)

What's worked for me is a combination of EFT and Hypnotherapy. So much so that it's what I do part time!

I'm looking forward to getting to know everyone :)

Kind regards

Lyn

EFT stands for Emotional Freedom Technique. It's based on accupressure - you tap certain points on your body and say affirmations. It's really easy but looks a bit strange.

It works on the theory that negative emotions and behaviours are stored in the body's energy field. If you release them then you free yourself from negative behaviour. I've found most people that over eat have emotional ties to food expecially comfort eating.

One of the easiest things to try it on is cravings. If anyone's interested I'll post a chart of the points and give you some tips on how to banish the cravings.

I know it sounds a little odd but it worked for me :)
