Hello All,

My name is Andy and I wanted to say thank you for such a great forum.

I have been reading the posts for some weeks now, but thought it was finally time to introduce myself and say hello.

I work at my computer all day and due to this I have recently added a few (understatement made here) kilo’s to my weight.

Scanning the internet for a solution (other than exercise more and eat less, which I have already tried so many times before) I have found a few products which say they can help.

Most have Hoodia in them, and we have all heard the horror stories about that type of product, however I have recently found a product called proactol () the secondary reason for this post other than to introduce myself was to ask if anybody has tried this product, can anyone backup what their website claims?

It’s possible I’m kidding myself that a pill can help me, and most of the posts on this forum suggest that, but maybe just maybe.

Thanks for you time in reading my first post, I hope this is the first of many here.

Andy

I had great success with Trimspa (the one with ephedra), but I also changed my diet and exercise habits too, so was it the pill or the diet & exercise? And honestly, if it were still sold, I'd buy it!!!

Welcome to the board! I'm new also, just started one day last week!

Good luck with your weight loss!

Hi Andy,
Welcome to the WLF :)

I have not tried any 'pills' to lose weight. I knew from the beginning that I needed to lose weight by learning how to undo how I gained it in the first place. I had to learn how to deal with food.

Losing weight through fad diets or gimick pills were not the answer. Learning that an entire can of pringles is not one sitting was ;) Learning to eat in moderation and getting up and moving was crucial.

Best of luck to you as you find what works for you,

Welcome ! I agree that pills are not the correct way to loose weight and like most of us (we've tried) and either gained it back or gained even more back! They do not teach us how to be healthy and change our lives for the better. I will say that if its what you need to get yourself started and you feel its safe then go for it. Just remember you will still need to change your life and learn how to be healthy and fit, or that weight will creep right back on. Best of luck! Either way we are here to support you :)

Welcome Andy! These boards really are a good source of free and mutual support. I wish you the best of luck on your journey - its a journey worth taking.

Well said M, how very true.

I too have tried many pills... stacker 2 (with ephedera) when it was legal, for one... But now I know the only way im going to lose the weight and keep it off for life is to change my lifestyle. The only things I take now is a daily vitamin and protein whey.

Good luck in your journey!!!
