Hello!

Hi,
Just came across your site, very informative.
My name is Vicky and so far i have lost 22 pounds in 11 weeks at slimming world. Im a vegitarian and basically i can eat as much pasta, rice and potatoes as i wish, i can also have my syns, such as chocolate, crisps, chips etc and still lose the weight, its fantastic!! i hope to lose another 19lb to get to my target weight of 9 stone.

Starting weight-12 stone

weight now- 10 stone and 6 lb

target weight-9 stone

I cant afford to go to the gym, so i use my total gyn at home, i only just started using it this week. Im more concerned with the fat on my lower abs, after having my beautiful baby boy 4 months ago. :D

Also, my breasts are too big, which make me look bigger than what i am and welcome any ideas that help me reduce them before i decide to have a reduction. :(

Ilook forward to reading your threads. Speak to you soon. Vicky. xx.

Your breasts will eventually lose some of their size, as the months go by after the birth of a child.

What kind of eating plan are you on? I have never heard of slimming world

Chop and change

Oh sorry, im from the UK, you obviously never heard of slimming world. It is a slimming club, we get weighed once a week. There are original days where basically lean meat is free and you can eat as much of it as you want, but you can only have a small amount of potatoes, pasta and rice etc. Or you can do green days where you can eat as much pasta etc as you like but with little meat. Its the combination of both that puts the weight on. Its the healthiest diet. Its low in fat and teaches you how to eat properly. You are alowed 5-15 syns a day eg for a 63g mars bar is 14 syns. Its the only thing thats worked for me and i feel very healthy and revitalised. Also you have free food on both days, fruit and veg is free, you can eat all day and still loose weight. Its hard to explain but great. Hope this explains a bit better.
I forgot to say that you can alternate both days, green one day original the next, aparently, you loose weight faster doing this, but im a vegitarian, so couldnt say personally. :)

I understand what your saying, but ive always had oversized boobs and was waiting until i'd had my children to get them reduced any way, its just the thought of having the operation. So far my breasts have stayed the same size, despite loosing 22 pound.

1 stone=14 pounds. Sorry, i forgot you dont work in stones!! :p

Tried these and cruches for your stomach.

However, you will need to lose the excess fat on your stomach through diet.

Its the combination of both that puts the weight on.
Are you familiar with the Atkins diet? This is one of the guiding principles behind atkins (though they don't alternate days - they just lay off the carbs and eat as much meat as they see fit). It's been losing a lot of popularity in the U.S., especially among fitness-minded people, as it's not considered a healthy or sustainable system.

Its the healthiest diet.
I'm not too sure about that...

However, I'm happy that you've found a way to lose weight. Do you think you'd be able to keep it off if you stopped going to Slimming World?

Fatkin's Diet

I thought some of you may get a laugh out of this. If you are like-minded about the "Atkins' Diet". It does use some language which some may be offended by, but it is soooo funny! :D

I was waiting for someone to mention the Atkins diet, but its actually nothing like it! eg, with atkins, you are allowed to eat as much fat as you like, with no carbs, but with slimming world, you have healthy extras, which you have to have such as potatoesetc. Everything you eat has to be low fat, no fat on meat etc. On Atkins, you are not allowed much fruit, but it is free on SW. like i said you can alternate the two.Veg is also unlimited. You have to see the diet properly for yourself to realise, that this diet is extremely healthy!! ;)

the problem with all these weird diets is how can anyone really benefit on a long term basis? teaching your body to eat as much as it wants of any food is a poor choice, IMO. the reality is, the one truth about weight loss has never changed - you must take in less calories and exercise more if you want to lose it and keep it off.

it takes willpower to lose weight and keep it off and be healthy, you just have to make a commitment to do it. it's all about balance.

Bloody hell, how many times!! This is a low calorie diet, in ten weeks, i have already trained my body to eat well, it is a very healthy diet, there is absolutely NO controversy surounding it!! You need to understand the diet. Sorry but i wont be visiting again, as ive noticed all you lot want to do is nit-pick. Typical!!!!!!!!

Holy smokes, people are just expressing there opinions. I have no idea about your diet but a well-balanced diet is the best. No contest.

jeeze, mellow out, you posted your diet plan on a public forum. cant expect everyone to agree with it, everyone has different opinions. nobody was trying to nitpick or create controversy, just offering their opinions and questions.

Ocean i hope u dont visit again if your gonna freak out! Everyone expresses their opinions ... hate to tell you but your diet isnt perfect and neither are you or anyone else on this site ... why did you post if you didnt want to read what people had to say! Calm down, take a deep breath, and good luck with your diet ... and if you want to open your ears and eyes then keep reading this site ... There is controversy surrounding ANY diet silly!

there is absolutely NO controversy surounding it
Baha. Open your eyes!

Anyway, the thing is that it may be a healthy diet, but it's not necessarily a long term diet. It may very well be, but here we're all fans of long-term, easy to maintain, healthy balanced eating. That's all there is to it.
