Hello to everyone, hope you're all having as good a day as I am. I already started my own thread over in the diary section. Just a quick rundown on me, I grew up very active. I played soccer from 3rd grade until my junior year of high school, wrestled for a year, and spent a lot of my free time hiking, running, and biking. When I graduated and got out on my own I did as many little things as I could to stay fit. Leg weights at work, dumbells and bands at home, even a weight bench for a while.
However, somewhere in my early to mid 20s (say 23 or 24 maybe) I got inactvie. Byt the time I hit 25 it was bothering me - along with many other factors in my life - and I joined the army with a guarantee of airborne infantry. I spent 14 months in before they sent me home on a medical discharge. The medics claimed it was PT induced asthma (runner's asthma), I claim it was being asked to step it up from 9 minute miles with a cap of 5 miles to 7 miles, with loaded rucksack, at 7 minutes a mile. Not much interim to adapt there.
Anyways, after that I went back to being a couch potatoe....potato...... .uh...french fry. Worked at too many pizza joints, and didn't do enough. Then I spent a month living with my gradnmother last year, helping her out while she rehabed from a knee replacement. My 1st week there I hit 190 lbs., which is 25 pounds heavier than my high school weight and around 10-15 heavier than my norm. I put the breaks on at that point and started exercising.
I am currently 30 years old and have dropped 15 pounds total weight (probly 20 fat with a 5 pound muscle gain, but I'm not sure) and at least 5% bf, but I didn't get my anaylyzer until late in the game so who knows. I guess that's it, look forward to chatting with you all.
