Hi All, thought I would introduce myself. I am a disabled vet (spinal damage) that has gotten in worse and worse shape over the years. Most exercise is very painful to my spine and often leaves me unable to move the next day due to spinal pain. All my bloodwork is good, in normal range, not diabetic, no cholesterol problems, even BP is in normal, healthy range. I am 6'3" and I reached 356LBS just before Thanksgiving 2018. I decided no more. Always knew what I should do, in terms of eating, to lose weight, but never committed. I recently read a book that explains WHY I should eat that way. It explained the mechanics of how sugars and proteins work in the body. That really appealed to my way of thinking and understanding. Monday before Thanksgiving I altered my eating habits completely. As of 1/21/19, I have lost 35LBS. I will not be satisfied until I get down to 200.
I came here hoping to read others stories for motivation.
