Hello, trying to change my life

Hi, I'm 18 years old and have been battling with obesity all my life. I weighed 300 pounds at 17 and wasnt doing so good. I met a man that inspired me and basically kicked my ass into shape. A year later I have lost 65 pounds and I am continuing to work out on my own. I hope to be a very healthy person in the years to come and break my habits. Im just here to look for advice and tips. Nice to meet you all

Good to see you are willing to do something about it. It is too often I see the "poor me" approach from so many young obsese kids. You deserve to hold your head high.

A sincere congrats to you on losing the 65lbs and taking the steps to a new life. I wish you the best of luck.

Keep consistent and you will do great.

Thank you all very much. I can already tell that this is a forum with nice people who have respect and courtesy for others, no matter your skill level or overall fitness level. My overall goal is to be at 200 pounds or less(I have a natural big build and dont care to be a rail) with some good looking muscles. I currently go 7 times a week, but after reading some things around here it seems that might be too much.

Just to say as well, the way people talk reminds me of the coach I had who helped me get to where I am. So its a good feeling.

Glad we can help! Yeah, at this forum, courtesy is all around and everyone is respected, which is what got me to join as well. Also glad to see that you're already a step up, thats awesome and I hope that this forum can boost it up even more! Welcome to the forums bud

Welcome Deshi! Great to have you here. You should be proud of your accomplishment thus far...congratulations!
Wishing you the best of luck in reaching your goals. :)

Yeah, what they all said. 65 pounds is a lot, and it's enough to up my motivation just knowing that you have already come so far. Great job, stick with it until you get where you want, and then hold it there. :)
