I just wanted to say hi and introduce myself.
basically in the last 2 weeks I have decided to make a few life changes, which include quit smoking and get in shape.
I have started exercising and watching my diet. right now I'm 5'6" tall and am 188 pounds. 2 weeks ago I was 197. 9 pounds came off pretty quick, but my stomach actually looks larger like i've gained(it's not muscle). my arms have also gotten noticeably larger, which i think is from the weights. my chest and arms have always been on the bulky side which i'm happy with but my "beer belly" really gets me down. i cut the calories way down to about 1200 or less a day, which I think is way to low. could this be causing what appears to be a gain in belly fat?
as far as working out I'm doing cardio every other day and weights every other day. the cardio consists of running in short bursts of 2-3 minutes and 3 minute rounds on a heavy bag.
thanks in advance and I'm looking forward to getting to know every one.
