Hey, I'm from Northeast Ohio and want to see how others are getting fit and healthy. Is anyone prescribing to good ole fashioned balanced nutrition and fitness?

I have battled with my weight most of my adult life. I have tried supplements, Herbalife, Mega-T, Metabolife, Hydroxycut, South Beach diet, Adkins Diet, starving myself, skipping lunch, breakfast, or supper, giving up red meat, even the cabbage soup diet. Nothing worked, until I met a trainer who convinced me to go old school. Eat balanced, nutritious meals,and exercise as rigorously as you can at least 3 times a week and you will become fit in a matter of months. That trainer was right. I have developed a healthy lifestyle and now weigh 48 Lbs less than I did on 12-18-09. Changing my lifestyle to a healthy, proactive one from a slothful unhealthy one did the trick. Everything is my life is easier now that I'm fit, Old school fitness and nutrition, not sexy, but it worked for me!
 
Congrats Sparky!! Sounds like great advice to me! Shoot, if there were a quick trick to losing weight, wealthy celebrities struggling with their weight could have reached their goal weight by now!! The fact that they haven't suggests it's all about hard work, focus, and patience!! Agree w/ ya completely! =p
