Hello, everyone!
I am new to the forums. I'm a 23 year old female and I am currently a doctoral student.
Since I am a graduate student, I am busy and stressed 99.9% of the time (I'm sleeping the other .1%!) Over the last 8-9 months I've gained about 15 pounds. I'm very short and am finding myself having a difficult time fitting into my clothes-- this has caused me to go on the path of weight loss. Ideally, I'd like to lose 20-25 pounds. My most difficult challenges will include finding motivation to work out when I'm exhausted from long days in the lab and finding new, exciting recipes to try so I don't fall off the bandwagon. Historically I've taken part in "crash" diet cycles, where I cut out a lot of food types and work out for 2-3 months, lose a good amount of weight, and go back to eating poorly for a year. My goal is to avoid going back into that unhealthy cycle and maintain a healthy lifestyle of eating right and working out after I lose the weight in order to maintain that weight.
Anyway, I don't want to rant. Just wanted to introduce myself!
Of course any advice/tips are appreciated!
