Hi,

I am a single mom, age 43, to a 12 y.o. boy. I really focused on him when he was younger, and then work plus school, so I was busy, tired, and stressed most of the time.
I set my goal on graduating, and didn't really care what I ate.
We ate mostly what was quick, cheap, and easy, and lots of snacks. To me, I simply didn't have a choice, I HAD to 'do what I had to do'.
Now I have graduated, and will be starting my 'professional' job in Sept. And I am 205 lbs at 5'4". Ugh!!! I feel really gross!! I need to get this weight off!!

To top it off, I have a low thyroid, for which I am supposed to take 100 mcg levothyroxine/day. But because I was so so busy, I had no days off for pharmacy, dr's ect for WEEKS at a time. But now I am back to taking it.

I have begun to run again, very slowly (I can't seem to get very fast anymore-- age? excess pounds?? weather??) about 4 miles round a lake.

I need a good PLAN. One that is effective and not TOO slow.

I would like to take a vacation soon. I havent had one in over 12 years.

Thanks for the help!

Well, unfortunately, "cheap and easy" usually means "horrible for you."

Stick with fresh foods that you prepare yourself. No chemically ingredients. Keep with an exercise regiment.

It will take a bit of time, I can't offer you a quick solution. You just have to plug away at it.

Good luck!
