Joking aside I've decided to drastically change my lifestyle and eating habits to lose weight and live a healthier life. I'm not that overweight but a lot but it's enough, I'm 5'7 at about 185 pounds. I remember being around 120 when I was younger, same height, and even though I don't plan to weigh that little I would love to drop 40 lbs at least. I'm not going to do any fab diets or crazes, my plan is to eat vegetables, fruit, salads and all around low fat foods (I guess that's a diet). I'm not going to be counting calories I'll just stay away from the sugars and the fats.

I officially start my diet tomorrow and I am excited to see myself in a month or two to see the progress I have made. I know it's going to be hard but it's worth. Wish me luck.

Hi Patrick!

I officially start my diet tomorrow and I am excited to see myself in a month or two to see the progress I have made. I know it's going to be hard but it's worth. Wish me luck.

Welcome and good luck! I know you don't want to count calories, but for the first week why don't you record what you are eating and figure out the calorie content just to be sure you are in a range that will support your weight loss. Cutting out added fats and sugar is a great start, but there are hidden fats and sugar in much of the food you buy so it's good to pay a bit of attention to the nutritive value of your food until you get a sense that you are eating enough and not too much.

Keep us posted!
