Hello! Looking for help & advice...

First off, I am very glad to be here. Let me say a huge Thank you to the FITNESS.com team!
My motive is to lose weight, get fit and eventually train for a marathon! That said, I know it will take time to get on that route!

Here are my current stats:

Gender: Female
Age: 36
Weight: 220 lbs
Height: 170 cms
Activity level: Moderate
Food preferences: Vegetarian, mostly!

Needless to say my BMI indicates an obese scale.
I have just embarked on morning walks. The pace is medium and I try to cover up to 2-3 miles a day.
My diet, however needs a lot of work. I have a full time job and planning meals is kind of a challenge.

At this point I am looking at a weight loss of about 60-70 pounds.
How do i go about planning my workout routines please? As in, what would be most beneficial?
Of course, it has to be a mix of diet plan and a good workout.

Appreciate your help, tips, advice, suggestions, recommendations!
And thank you very very much in advance!

~Best

Have you taken a look around the forums yet? There is a lot of infomation, especially in the stickies, to help get you started. I would start here: Weight Loss... The "A Simple (and Badass) Fat Loss Program" and "Training For Fat Loss" sticky threads at the top should be helpful for you. Definitely post questions if you have any!
