Hiya,

after many years trying many different diets, and overall all I've done is put on more and more weight! Now at pretty much an all time high, I have really got to get it into check!

So, I thought I'd try posting on here regularly as a motivation to help me stay on track. I'm now a separated Mum, and so can't get out to the gym of an evening, or to diet clubs such as Weight Watchers.

I have been reading the Paul McKenna book, and a lot of it really resonated with me, so I have decided to try that approach. I.e. not dieting as such, just eating sensibly and trying to change my fundatmental attitudes towards food. After all, I guess that is really the problem.

I am feeling really positive and motivated at the moment, but know there will be times when this isn't the case. I hope I can help boost others when I am up and they are down, and vice versa. Also looking forward to getting to know lots of new people and their take on the whole weight loss regime!

Good luck to you all, and good luck to me!!

Pinkie.

heya, welcome to the forums.

Sounds like you are on the right track, throw the kids in a pram or on their bikes and take some nice long family walks might help :)

I have 4 kids and a job, luckily i have a partner who is awesome and helpful (even if hes not the kids father!)

Thanks for the messages!

Well I had a day off work today, so me and my little lad went to the coast for a spot of castle visiting. Did lots of walking about - I am now pooped! I guess like most people I know what I need to know, its just the sticking to it - and when I get a compulsion to eat rubbish - not eating it!

Anyway, I thought I might try and keep one of those diaries, a bit of added motivation - can anyone offer any guidance on the best place to do that here. It is all a bit of a minefield at the moment!
