Hello--I'm new here

I have a page of Facebook that I started to help keep myself accountable and motivated and several people have told me it has helped motivate them as well. I was looking for information to post there when I found this forum.


I am currently participating in a weight loss competition at l my local Y (The Biggest Mover) and intend to take what I've learned after the competition is over and keep going to reach my goal. From my first weigh in at that competition I had 99 pounds to lose and I have lost 13 so far (4 weeks in). My husband is also participating with me. I think it has been very helpful for us to do this together because we have a united front against unhealthy food and drink.
 
AHey I'm new too. What's your fb page like? I thought having a page would be cool so we can motivate each other without annoying friends about my routines and progress.
 
Hi! The FB page is called Active Potato. I try to post something motivational on there everyday and encourage everyone to post their exercise routine, what they did that day, their weight (if they want to), pics, healthy recipes, etc. The main purpose is just to try to keep everyone motivated about exercising and eating right, but a separate place to post those things so other FB friends don't get annoyed that you post every time you take a walk or go to the gym, etc. I've also tried to post links to articles and water consumption etc.
