Hello I need your help!

Hey GUYS! and Gals

Before i say anything i must admit that i am totally clueless about what to do and what not to do when it comes to physical fitness. Since this is my first post ill explain my current conditions. I am 15 years old and at boarding school. I am a golfer, baseball player, and wrestler. I have been doing pushups and situps for the past couple of day and have figured out that i can do between 90-120 situps and 40-50 pushups before i need to take a break. I can run between a 5:50 and 6 minute mile. And as to genetics my family is full of short stockey people, i am almost the only exception (both my dad and grandfather were running backs in college). What can i do WITHOUT WEIGHTS to build "toned" muscle particularly my abs and pecks? (i do no have access to weights at this time because the football players have figured out how to hog the weight room so that nobody else can get in there). Any help on good exersises that you guys can provide i would much apprecieate.

Thank You

Chuck

Btw.. here is acurrent picture, im not sure if it will be helpful but im trying to cover any possible questions you guys might have. Also if its possible i would like to stay in the same weight range that i am in (for wrestling purposes) but if that is not possible... well then im willing to accept that. Thanks for the help in advance!

Ps... i posted this in the Body Building forum.. but i realised that thats the wrong place to post this... is there a way i can delete the post?

Hello and welcome.

Have you considered speaking to your wrestling coach about weight training? I would think that it should be a part of the training, in which case, the wrestling team would get time in the weight room as well.

Well.... in all honesty id rather not talk to my wrestling coach... he is a HUGE jerk. Plus wrestling hasnt started yet (1 more month). I think ill go talk to the football coach even if i dont know him that well.

Look, if you want to increase your lean body mass, you are most likely going to have to increase your overall body weight. There are some body weight workouts out there that I could recommend, but I would rather see you get your butt in the gym. It is very hard to increase LBM, especially when you are an ectomorph (skinny) which you seem to be without proper equipment and program design. Besides, resistance training will ultimately lead to an increase in strength which will improve your performance in wrestling!

Your coach should want all of his athletes in the gym.

Ill try as hard as i can to get in the gym. Do you have any reccomendations as to what would help? Like some good books that i can read up on?

New Rules of Lifting and Scrawny to Brawny are excellent books in my opinion that recently came out. I have an entire library of books I could recommend, but I would start with that.
