Hello

My name is Holly and I live in Liechtenstein. It is great to find this forum.

At the moment I weigh 168 lbs and would like to get back to 138 lbs. I am about 5ft 8 and at the moment I can hide my weight pretty well with the right clothes. If I get any heavier, though, I won't be able to.

I am new to this forum too. I find it interesting.

this is the second day on my diet. I want to lose 40 lbs by the end of August.

I really must stick to this and I now believe that it is all in the mind.

YOU HAVE CONTROL OF WHAT YOU EAT.

You have to think about how bad you want this and tell yourself that you can do it.

It is all in your mind to say NO !

I am telling myself the junk food smells good and I should be satisfy by just smelling it. Tasting it won't make a difference... it has no taste.

I don't know how long i could keep this up for but I hope you gals help me keep faith.

Sounds like a plan to me!

My main problem is lack of exercise I think. I eat junkfood maybe once every 3 months and I think my diet is pretty healthy - lots of steamed fish and vegetables. I really have to move more though.

Going to look for one of those ticker things you have - very good idea!

Wow, Liechtenstein! Most people here in the US have never even heard of it when I mention it! My father has been to Vaduz and said it was beautiful.

And yeah, exercise is the key for me. I hardly had to change my diet to start losing weight (just some portion control) but adding exercise is what is causing the pounds to come off.

I have been doing well so far to resist the temptation of junk food.
I have 5 more days before my next visit to the Doctor that is motivating me to lose weight. I am really counting the days and this is keeping me motivated as i don' want to hear bad news when i get there.

If my math is correct your goal is to lose about 4 pounds per week between now and the end of August. I think your expectations are unrealistic unless you weigh 400 pounds. You may want to rethink you goals. Unrealistic goals set you up for failure.

Madness - it really is beautiful here. Shame about the weather at the moment though! Loads of storms!

Edco76 - my plan is to eat more healthily and definitely to do more exercise - I really believe the exercise thing is my downfall.

IWillLoseWeight - thanks for that. I had found the site OK, but knowing where to put that code was the problem! All sorted now.

HigherCalling - thank you. Everyone here seems really nice.
 
i lost 11 lbs

i lost 11 lbs this week - using no carbs, no meat only green leafy veggies...
And some exercise....

My clothes are feeling slacker and i feel great.
