Hello everybody my names Ali and I'm from the U.K. The reason I'm posting this thread is frankly because I want to lose weight but I also want a good physique and the strength to go with it.. I don't want to do it for girls or something else, I actually want to do it as a personal goal, to have the strength and the body.I do diet and I go to boxing (gym/boxing) on mondays, wednesdays and fridays (3 times a week,2 hour session) when I go boxing I start off with a run around the block ( not sure how big but fairly medium sized round about half a mile most likely bigger) after this I do 9,5 minute sessions of skipping with 15 second breaks then 12 sessions on the boxing bags ( medium sized bag using 12 oz gloves) then atleast 3-5 sessions of shadow boxing. The last 20 minutes are spent doing a circuit , either a stamina based one ( running to a cone 10 burpees running back the to the start then to the next cone doing 10 tuck jumps e.t.c) or a regular 'tonne' circuit which consits of :
A plank ( longest I can do it is 2 minutes) press ups ( about 20 consecutive D: hoping to get that up ) sit ups (about 10-15) 10 burbees, 10 jumping jacks, 10 squats, 10 tuck-jumps, 10 sit ups with douple punch, alternative lunges ( some times weights about 9-12 is the max I can lift)
I am going to start diet and I don't mind splitting my foods, I know that I should have to clear all carbs and have protein and lean meats e.g liver.
I have been doing those excersices and sessions for the last 5 months and yet I still have a bit of a belly and well...'Boobs' I reallly don't like this and I have tried other sports like football but can't seem to enjoy them, boxing is one of the rare few I actually enjoy. My dad had a 6 pack and apparentely he never done any gym work , so I thought maybe it was in my ginetics? As I seem like a person who if they don't do a lot of excersice they end up chunky. Is it because I may have a low metabolism? And some advice on the dieting would be nice aswell please and ye...... That's it ( I forgot to mention I also take my red nose pit bull for 1 hour walks he pulls a lot so it takes a fair bit of energy I guess it counts for excersice ).
Thanks for reading - Ali
