Hello, hello!

My name is Emma and after lurking around for a bit, and seeing how nice people here can be, I decided to register. I am 23 years old and have always struggled with my weight. Up until the age of maybe 12 is really when I started to gain more weight and went from being called "just a little chubby" to "big". I am 5'2 and currently weight 169 lbs. I've lost about 11 from January 2, 2013 to today Feb. 6, 13. It's been hard, I won't lie. Specially because I can't really notice the weight off of me. I immediately want to go from having all this weight on me to suddenly not having it, and I know that's completely unrealistic. Aside from that, I seem to be doing okay. It feels good knowing that the hard work is paying off. I would like to find people here that I can relate to, and maybe find support from. That would be really really nice. :blush5:
 
HI Emma, I am new here too. I recently lost 33 lbs but really want to lose about 10 more. i started on August 9th, 2012, so it has gone well for me. I didn't really get heavy until high school, and then I went up and down in weight a lot till this past year when I was 178 at my highest. That was actually my highest I was on different occasions including full term pregnancy, so I am really glad to be 140 lbs now. I am 5 ft 3 inches and 59 years old. Nice to meet you.
 
Hi Emma, welcome! , i thought i would say hello because im the same age as you and in a similar position i think.
Iv recently lost 4.5 kg (or 9.9 pounds) and it definately hasnt been easy adjusting to a more healthy life style, but i am enjoying the gym and exploring different food options.
I definately still have a long way to go though!

If you havent already going to the diary section and making one is a good idea so you can write down what your eating and your excercise and stuff
