Hi

My name is josh and I am currently 17 years old and I live in England. I am currently 16stone(224pounds) my Target weight would be 13stone(182pounds) - I have alot of time on my hands and decided I would really like to start losing weight, so I came to this site to try and get a few tips and pointers. My BMI is 31.2 (5ft11 - 224pounds).I currently only do 2 sets of 20minute jogs on the treadmill, I travel around 2.46km in the 20minutes. I try and eat as healthy as I can, bit lost on what foods to eat and what not. Been lazing around for 3months, So I decided I need to do somthing now, while I have alot of time on my hands. I believe I can do alot more exercise than this though. When I tend to run on the treadmill, I feel that I dont get puffed out, that just my legs start to ache quite alot. I also currently do no Weight training at all, I would like to keep it to just Cardio/Aerobic work for now, so any tips or improvements I can do to my current fitness would be great. Welcome Josh! It sounds like you're already on a great start with jogging on the treadmill. If you keep that up, I'm sure you'll see results in terms of weight loss and how much time you can spend exercising. As for foods, I'm partial to the Superfoods book because I can't stick to a rigid diet like the South Beach diet or Atkins. But do some research on this board - there's tons of information on all the different diet plans out there and I'm sure you'll find something that works for you.
