Hello there my name is Lesley I am 41 years old from West Michigan..i have been trying to get healthy and lose weight since April 2012 , i started this at 412lb on meds for diabetes, fybromialga, pain meds for bursitis, blood pressure meds and anti depressants...i am now down 154lb and off all meds i swim i use the gym i walk i enjoy my life!!!! and it feels good i still have a way to go and another 70-80 left to loose and i know i can do this...
I am very willing to advise people and talk to people and hope my journey can help others...im not there yet but im nearer than i was!!!
I have been using Body by Vi , doing the challenge i have found it easy loved the taste i was able to snack i learnt how to eat properly and how to read labels and to focus on what i can have and enjoy it..not focus on what i cant!! and how saying NO to that Big Mac allowed me to say yes to my SELF and living!
i know its not easy but if i can do this anybody can!!!! and plz feel free to ask me anything ,

Hello Lesley and welcome! sorry about all the meds, certainly losing fat will help. I too said goodbye to Big Mac's, Jack, BK. There comes a time when one needs to realize losing health over these things is just plain foolish. Enjoy the forum.

Welcome to the forum.

Well done for losing so much weight. It is great that you have found something that works for you.

You have done brilliantly to get off all your meds. You must feel so much better.

I must admit that my biggest concern with meal replacement milkshake plans like that marketed by visalis and many other firms is that you are having one of their products instead of a healthy meal - so each meal is a wasted opportunity for learning good nutrition for future maintenance - since very few people would want to live that way for the rest of their life. Maintenance is tough!!! How are you addressing this aspect of learning to eat healthier with normal foods - and how do you plan in dealing with eating only normal foods when you get to your goal weight?

I suggest that you read the following thread - it may help you settle in and make friends

Good luck with your project.
