Hello Everyone,

Today I am joining WLF because when I weighed myself this morning I was at the "OMG-this-is-my-limit" weight and it is time to make a change. That weight being 220 lbs.

I am currently 33 years old. Married almost 12 years with a 3.5 year old son. Weight has always been a struggle for me and it had been a yo-yo. My most successful weight loss was back in 2005 when I became a Lifetime member at WW. Unfortunately, after that, I went on fertility drugs for several years and between those hormones and some depression, I gained all that weight back and then some. Then came pregnancy and the rest is downhill. LOL I am a restaurant manager so I spend 55 hours per week around food which also doesn't help the issue.

Since I have decided to get back on the weight loss train, I have joined this board to make some new friends and get some support from people who are hopefully in the same boat. I know I can do this. I have done it before but it is much easier to have people to share it with.

Nice to meet you all!

Sarah

Hi Sarah
I joined up yesterday as well so welcome. My weights about on the same par as yours 214lbs and its crept on over the last goodness knows how many years. About 2 1/2 months ago i got to the stage of 'enough is enough' and returned to my exercise classes where things have now started to tone up lol. I need to now get focused on my food intake so will be keeping a diary. Hope this site works well for you as i'm hoping it works for me too.
Good luck on your journey.

Welcome to the forum.

Since you have successfully lost weight with WW I would dig out those old WW books and see whether they inspired you to repeat that process... I used to be a big fan of their old "core" program from back around then... The great thing about that is that there was very little "ww point" calculations involved and that it steered people towards a healthy filling food plan. Since there was no reliance on pre-packaged foods - recipes will not have changed so it should be just as effective now as when WW launched that plan all those years ago...

If that does not appeal - we certainly have tons of information on exercise and nutrition here. :)

I suggest that you read the following thread - it may help you settle in and make friends here

Good luck with your project.
