HI everyone.

Just thought i would say hello to everyone.

I started at 197 and have lost 5 pounds. Im dying to get back to 130.

I cant believe how well everyone is doing on this forum. Hopefully i will be able to do half as well as some of you guys. You all look like you give each other so much support. Something i really need with my weightloss journey.

hi there and thank you for your reply.

I'v started counting calories. I used to just eat anything and everything regardles of the calories. Now im really trying hard to watch the number of calories in what im eating. Im also cutting back on the amount of chocolate im eating. I really am a chocoholic. Im not going to stop all together as im a a great believer or " a little bit of what you fancy does you good" and also if i think if i cut chocolate out my diet i will end up craving it all the more and end up eating more that before.

I am quite an active person anyway. I am out walking my dogs every night for over an hour. And i dont just mean slow walking, i walk nice and fast with them and am totally shattered by the time i get home. I would also really like to take up swimming again, but would like to lose a little weight before i get back into a swimming costume. I lack confidence and the thought of people seeing how fat i am in a swimming costume really scares me.

im going to set myself a goal of losing 20 pound, then i'll start swimming again. no excuse when i have lost some weight. So when i reach 177, i'l get myself a new swimming costume.

Dear Pam,

What is your goal Cal intake? How much do you want to take in a day. Finding something that you are comfy with is the best, I also suggest many small meals a day for whatever the amount is. It keeps your metablism going, althought i have found that it leaves me with the muchies durning the day doing this, the trick is knowing when you are hungry and when you have the muchies.

If the muchies are the answer, and you feed that, your cal intake will never be at the amount at what you want. Trying to set a certain time everyday when you would want to eat would be the best for this type. Again i'm only suggesting you do this. Do what feels right to you.

im trying to take in around 1700 calories per day. Does this sound about right? or do you think that still sounds too high? I really ust need a push in the right direction and some advice to know where im still going wrong.

I honastly don't know for you. I would suggest googling that type of stuff for your body weight, height, and age.

It will point you in the right Direction.
