I was excited to find this since it seems like it's useful support system. Since we're all in the same boat I figured it would be a low-judgement high-encouragement place to come for advice and just general chatting about our struggles!
I'm 20 years old and a gerontology student in university. I have a great family and boyfriend whom are very important to me. I'm not sure what the average age group is on here...but don't think im some young girl with self esteem issues who is complaining about nothing
I am almost 5'7'' and a fluctuating 150 lbs. I am in the appropriate weight range for my height and age, but pushing over the barrier of too much. I don't eat TERRIBLY, but am clearly doing something wrong (i'm thinking portion control)...and definitely don't work out enough (even though i have an exercise bike in my room!). I would love to be able to jog regularly, and lead a general healthy and fit lifestyle that makes me happy.
I don't plan to follow a specific diet (like Jenny Craig, Weight Watchers etc) but plan to do what my grandma always said "everything in moderation!". Essentially work out more, eat less and remain healthy.
So, where do I start on here...and in general?
