Hi all,

Well I tried to find a forum that had enough people while not looking like a ad campaign for the various diets out there and this seems as good a compromise as any.

I'm uncomfortable with my weight and more importantly image. I'm 25, male, and living overseas so exercise equipment and gyms are out. I was hopeful that in my time overseas I'd have more oppurtunity to change my figure but I havn't had much luck. I work 54 hours a week which becomes tiring, I have a knee injury from 19 that never seems to fully recover, but those are just excuses.

It really comes down to excuses and laziness, and both I do in a great supply. I've determined to set aside a few hours for exercise every night. I bought some exercise dvds, I know they get alot of critics but they provide me some music and a basic routine, and any routine has to be better then just sitting on the couch watching tv.

I've tried to stop eating late and night and snacking. Accomplished the first, difficulty accomplishing the second.

I'm not sure how long it's going to take, but I'm honest and try not to view the lost xxx lbs in xxx days routine. I want to just make exercise a focus of my life and a part of my everyday routine. I'm hopeful that starting now and with support I can do it :)

The battle is won in the kitchen :) exercise is a very important part as well, but will have little effect if you are not getting the proper caloric intake. Check out the stickies :)

Agreed with that.

Also, good job with the not eating late, but there is nothing wrong with snacking. I have two or three snacks a day, just healthy snacks like a piece a fruit or a serving of nuts...something small, it is a snack. Keeps your metabolism going in between meals.

Good luck :)
