Hello Everyone ^^

Hello everyone, I joined this website because I'm looking for some help and advice on my workout/exercise plan as well as eating habits. I'm a 18 year old female who stands at 5'11 and weighs about 157lbs. I used to be incredibly overweight (weighing in at 264lbs) but after changing my eating habits and starting an exercise routine, two years later I've lost over 100lbs. NOW however my issue is that I'm too skinny, and I'm not just saying this. I workout 3 days a week on my own with free weights/body weight, and then do cardio 7 days a week for a little over an hour each day. I'm pretty comfortable with my workout schedule as it's something I've settled into over the past years and it helps me relieve stress, stay fit, etc... Now my only issue with my workouts is that they seem to have grown longer in time duration as I've been doing them say the last 3-4 months. They used to take me a total of around 75minutes (with breaks and such included) but now I'm lucky if I get them done in 90minutes. Sometimes I can get them done in 87minutes, but I've also had them last around an hour and fourty minutes...My issue is that I'm pretty sure I'm doing the exact same amount but something isn't going right i guess. Does anyone else have this issue with their workouts?
I'm also looking at my eating habits because while I eat very healthfully I must not be getting enough calories... For an 18 year old girl who's 5'11 and works out that much 3X a week and does 7 days of cardio a week for a little over an hour (around 5mph or a little slower) what's the kind of diet/eating plan should I be keeping myself on? I'm not a vegan or vegetarian or anything like that, so no worries there. I'm not a huge fan of cutting my workouts/exercise down simply because I've worked so hard to get where I am and I'm so proud of it. However I do need to change some things because I'm tired of being too skinny and not only am I afraid I'm burning muscle, my mom and sister both tell me on a daily basis that I'm only burning muscle when I exercise.. -.- So if they're any exercise/fitness instructers/personal trainers out there who will give me their honest opinions and advice I'd be forever grateful. I'm really just ready to get a handle on this and put on a couple pounds-but I want to make sure I'm doing the right things, eating the right stuff, and taking the correct steps to building my muscles back up.

Thank you SO much...

welcome to the forum. Not sure how to help with the extra workout time. I would just write down your time spent doing each exercise ... this should allow you to figure out where the time has gone.

As for the calories, everyone has a different metabolism and as you build muscle you will burn more calories. If you are eating healthy, it should not be too hard to slowly increase the amount you eat to balance the weight loss.
